At Kids 'R' Kids, our goals are focused on providing the highest quality child care and the best possible learning environment.  That starts with the highest quality teachers.
   When the doors of Kids 'R' Kids open it is obvious that great care has been taken to create a loving, safe "home away from home."  Our center has been carefully designed with this in mind.  Glass walls separate classrooms and a computerized monitoring system allows our management staff and parents to watch their children from the reception area.  We also offer our VisionNet system which allows parents to view live color video feeds from our cameras directly over the Internet!  These extra safety features are important, but it is the sense of comittment from the director, teachers, staff and business owners that makes our Kids 'R' Kids School of Quality Learning exceptional.

The Challenges of Teaching
   Teaching young children is a challenge.  Our teachers meet this challenge with enthusiasm and the knowledge that the most important thing they can do is fully participate in each child's growth and development.
   At Kids 'R' Kids, activities are planned for each age group to stimulate creativity, individual thinking as well as to help develop listening, reading and motor skills, and urge social and emotional growth.  Kids 'R' Kids teachers know that a positive approach is the best approach.  Using praise and positive reinforcement helps build a child's self-esteem.  Learning should be a happy, rewarding experience for the children and teacher.
   Since Kids 'R' Kids provides care for children from six weeks to twelve years of age, our teachers are trained to recognize each age level's capabilities.  Each age group encompasses individual levels of growth and development in language, thinking, social and emotional skills and physical development.  As a result, a series of instructional aids have been created, covering topics such as "Teaching Preschoolers" and "Age Characteristics."  These guides provide special activities for the various age groups and help teachers provide developmentally appropriate activities for their children.
   The activities are divided into special themes throughout the year and each month has a specific theme with corresponding basic reading concepts.  From our variety of resources, Kids 'R' Kids teachers build on these themes, keeping in mind the needs of each age group.
   Kids 'R' Kids teachers also stay involved with parents.  Providing activity calendars is just one way to encourage involvement and to coordinate home activities with monthly themes.  Parents are always aware of what their children are doing at Kids 'R' Kids and teachers regularly send home examples of the children's work.
